We have now completed our first year as a membership organisation and it is time that we reported back to you, our members. This is your official notice for our Annual General Meeting:

Friends of Alton Station 2016 Annual General Meeting
Thursday 13th October 2016
8pm, Garden Room, Alton Community Centre Amery Street, Alton, Hants. GU34 1HN

Agenda
Minutes of 2015 launch meeting
Chairman’s Report
Treasurer’s Report
Election of Committee

Followed by question and answer session
Bar will be open from 8.15pm

Notes
We are conscious that we have not been directly communicating with our members, so if anyone is willing to put themselves forward to help with communications and marketing, that would be a big help. We are also looking for a treasurer, and anyone else who might like to stand for our committee. If you are interested, but would like to ‘try before you buy’, then let us know and you can meet our committee another time.

Although the AGM is for members to vote, it is an open meeting for all interested parties to attend. Thus, if you know people who might like to join or who simply want to know more, please do invite them along. If they join before the AGM starts, they will be able to vote. If not, they will still be able to participate in the discussions.

Existing members will be invited to renew their membership at the meeting, or may do so subsequently. Membership runs from January to December each year, but as a one-off, all those who joined before January 2016 have been counted as 2016 members.
