HELP TO SAVE OUR FOOTBRIDGE
The campaign to save the 1892 wooden station footbridge was launched in August 2017. We have a deadline of February 2019 to prepare for removal and dismantling of the footbridge, ready for restoration.
We have split the project into three phases: Rescue; Refurb; Restore. We have set a funding target of £10k for the first phase. For those wishing to make a one-off donation online, we have set up a Just Giving crowdfunding page which the 'Donate' button above links to directly.
If you would like to make donations in instalments, or pay by other means, please get in touch. If you're sending cheque, hand-delivery cash or paying by bank transfer, please download our pdf leaflet - the link is at the bottom of this page.
In 2017 we produced a prospectus for our project, both for your interest and also for potential donors to read. It explains the three phases of the project, as well as a brief description of the history and where we are today. Whilst it is planned to update it to reflect changes to phase one, it still gives you a good outline of the task in hand. You can download the prospectus here:
